We have achieved the European Quality Label with our project. This means that our work, the work of our students and the collaboration with the partners met the Quality Label Framework criteria and received a high score.
From November 9 to 12, 19 students and72 teachers from the 3 schools traveled to Brussels as a final activity. There the participants met with their partners (ES. F. Cabrini, Noisy-le-Grand; (Liceo da Vinci, Arzignano & IES Etxebarri BHI, Etxebarri) to present their winning proposal on environmental sustainability to MEP Alessandra Moretti, as well as learn from within the European Parliament, the European History Museum and an eB!Challenge in an educational activity provided by the Brussels City Council. In addition to meeting our members personally, we took the opportunity to share some cultural visits such as the Grand Place, Cinquantenaire Park and the Belgian Comic Museum. Currently, we continue with the final evaluation of the project and application for the eTwinning Quality Label, so the total duration of the project will be approximately 16 months. We encourage our students to finish the last assessment activities and thank them for their motivation and enthusiasm in this international, multidisciplinary and innovative project.
On September 27, the teachers and organizers (garagEramus) of the project met online to inform ourselves and agree on several aspects of the final trip to Brussels.
The winning proposal of the project #FromSchooltoEU is Group 1: Eco-Sustainability!
The result has been decided by a jury plus the amount of followers and likes on Instagram on each video. Group 1 has received half of the jury vote and more than one-third of the total likes on Instagram, thus snatching victory!
The students of Group 1, from Italy, Spain and France, will travel to Brussels this November to visit the EU institutions and have the chance to present their project to a MEP!
A big shout-out to the other two groups who have worked hard as well to create their proposals on Social Inclusion and Digital Policies.
From School to EU aimed to help students develop not only their digital and green skills, but above all their interpersonal skills, encouraging them to work with people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds and exercising their teamwork.
The project is implemented by Liceo Leonardo Da Vinci, Ensemble Scolaire Françoise Cabrini, IES Etxebarri BHI & @garagerasmus_foundation and co-funded by the #ErasmusPlus Programme.
Activity #4: Voting & Dissemination of EU proposals
During the summer (from the beginning of June to the beginning of September), the participating students will spread each of the proposals on social networks so that from the garagErasmus Instagram account (@garagerasmus_foundation), according to the number of likes, the proposal with the most votes can be decided. in this phase of the project.
On May 9, Europe and eTwinning Day, we held the final videoconference for the presentation of the three proposals from each group. All participating students and teachers were present, as well as representatives of the Directorate and municipal authorities of each city.
The students received a diploma accrediting their participation.
During the first quarter of 2023, 5 videoconferences of the mixed cooperative groups have been held so that they can work on the topics that correspond to each one:
-Group 1: Eco-sustainability
-Group 2: Social inclusion
-Group 3: Digital Policy.
In one of the meetings they had the help of experts in each topic.
In addition to videoconferences, each group had a Drive document and a forum for sharing work.
