Our second student workshop was held on April 16. The workshop took place from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM Tunisian time (which is 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Turkish time). During our second Mixed International Student Workshop for the eTwinning project "Eco Innovators for Sustainability," we focused on presenting the tasks assigned to each partner school. We explained the different stages of the project , design, prototyping, programming, and fabrication and how responsibilities will be distributed among primary and middle school students from Tunisia and Turkey. Students from Pioneer School introduced the concept of machine learning in a simple and engaging way. They organized an interactive voting session using Mentimeter to allow participants to select their favorite invention ideas. To make the learning even more dynamic, older students from Pioneer Middle School prepared a Kahoot quiz to assess understanding and support young primary students in exploring the basics of machine learning in a playful and collaborative environment.
Coordination Meeting with Project Partner for Task Clarification
On April 25, from 12:30 PM to 13:30 PM Turkish time, I held a meeting with Betul, my partner in our eTwinning project Eco-Innovators for Sustainability, and her students. Betul could not attend our last mixed international teams workshop, so this meeting was organized to ensure smooth collaboration. During the session, we recapped the key points discussed during the workshop and clarified the distribution of tasks among the students. The tasks were assigned based on their grade levels and respective curricula, ensuring that each group could contribute effectively to the final outcomes of our project.
SMMika Serbia - On May 19, my students Nikolina Curuvija and Dimitra Cenic participated in the final national competition in microbit programming organized by the British Council and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. Our project Smart bin was selected among the 20 best works this year and presented at the competition. This is a presentation and a link to the video.
