Our Project consists of three teachers of English and 30 students from Poland and Turkey. We all teach pupils between 9-11 and as partners we agreed on that learning a language is not only about getting know the 4 main skills of a language it also requires to get to know the culture of it. Thanks to this Project we suppose that our students will be aware the differences between 2 languages and the culture itself. In these early years of their life it is important for them to get in touch with a friend who is away miles from his/her own country. It arouses the awareness of the importance of respect to others. Thanks to pen pals children have opportunity to learn about different cultures and faiths.
