With the growing threat of climate change and global pollution, the need to develop ecological awareness among students, and education is a fundamental factor for developing active citizenship and encouraging citizenship of science. Through a deeper understanding of relevant threats to the environment with concrete examples, students will gain respect for natural resources and will initiate environmental protection project activities in the school and in the entire local community. In order to form an environmentally friendly and sustainable school community, we want to offer students practical tools and strategies for achieving certain changes, in this case for starting composting and proper sorting of waste at school, as well as for developing critical thinking for more efficient assessment and reduction of the impact of anthropogenic activities on the environment.
