The main aim of this project is to use English as a lingua franca in an authentic context. Communication is to take place via video conferences, emails, chats, but also cooperative digital tools, e.g. concept boards. In consultation with the project partners and course participants, partner or group work across national borders would also be conceivable. The students of the partner schools develop and implement project ideas together. The focus is on topics that are of interest and relevance to the course participants. Possible topics are e.g.: - Presentation of one's own country, region or city (cultural heritage, places of interest, historical events, etc.). - Differences and similarities between school systems - One or more of the UNESCO goals (e.g. gender equality and gender issues, sustainability (water / energy / recycling, ...), environmental and climate protection (e.g. ecosystems) - Racism - War in Ukraine - Integration of refugees into society and the school system - Historical events (e.g. comparing the events of World War II in the partner countries) - Environmental disasters - Political topics, e.g. European politics - Olympics 2024 (comparison today and then) and other sport-related topics - European cookbook - Non-profit organizations, charities - Working life, dream jobs - Cybercrime, bullying and harassment ... The list goes on ..
