Let's welcome refugees

The recent drastic rise in number of refugees, asylum applicants between 2014 and 2018 throughout the EU has become greater and greater and it is continuing to grow on a daily basis. In Turkey it has been calculated that more than 3 million of refugees living there will need to be educated in our classrooms and the same situation is happening in all our partners countries. Since we don't want to underestimated the scale of such issue we are strongly conscious that the successful integration of these students into the classroom is of paramount importance. This is undoubtly a great challenge for any school , indeed educators are rarely specifically trained to face this problem and we as teachers are aware of the role we have to prepare these students for a successful life as European citizens and thus increasing social cohesion.
