As teachers, we always complain about not having enough class time and wish for more. A flipped classroom can be one of the answers to this wish. Hence, this course is for teachers who are looking for more class time without increasing the teaching hours.

Day 1

  • European Dimension and Networking
  • Good example sharing
  • Learning Portfolio for the Course what it is and what should be included
  • Understanding the basic principles of flipped classroom
  • Discussing the advantages and disadvantages of flipped classroom

 

Day 2    

  • Examining the potentials of flipped classroom
  • Technological barriers to the flipped classroom

 

Day 3    

  • Identifying the traditional resources
  • Using web-based tools
  • Increasing learner-engagement

 

Day 4    

  • Flipping a unit: Analyzing an Example
  • My Learning Portfolio – daily input

 

Day 5    

  • Flipping a week: Analyzing an example
  • My Learning Portfolio – daily input    
  • My Learning Portfolio – participants’ presentation of their finalised portfolios
  • Learning outcomes – evaluation of the course and level of achieved learning outcomes

Learning objectives

By the end of the course, the participants will be able to

 

  • develop a better understanding of the rationale behind flipped classrooms
  • state the advantages and disadvantages of flipping a classroom.
  • identify the principles behind flipped learning
  • analyze and state the potentials of flipped classroom.
  • understand the technological barriers to the flipped classroom
  • identify the web-based tools that can be used in flipped classroom
  • use web-based tools to flip their classroom
  • use the knowledge gathered in the course to flip a unit, a day, and a week
  • develop English language skills through active course participation
  • become more aware of the importance of the school’s visibility at the international level
  • network with European colleagues
  • develop a greater understanding of cultural diversity and EU values such as sustainability, students’ and teachers’ well-being, and inclusion
  • increase capacity to trigger changes in terms of modernization and international opening within their educational organisation

Methodology & assessment

1. Workshops:
Workshops are an integral part of the course, providing participants with the opportunity to engage in active learning and collaborative problem-solving.

Presentations:
Presentations will be used to deliver key theoretical content, research findings, and best practices in a structured and informative manner.

Practice Sharing:
Good practice sharing sessions provide a platform for participants to learn from each other’s experiences and success stories.

Throughout the course, reflection and feedback mechanisms will be in place to promote continuous improvement and self-assessment. This includes:
– Regular self-assessment opportunities to monitor personal growth and understanding.
– Peer evaluations and feedback on presentations and practical exercises.
– Instructor-guided reflection activities to help participants apply course content to their unique teaching contexts.

We offer comprehensive support to participants in every aspect of their journey, including assistance with the procedural and administrative tasks involved in issuing and processing essential technical documents required by their home schools. This includes:

Pricing, packages and other information

  • Price:
    400
    Euro
  • Course package content:

    The course fee is 80 euros per person per day, which includes:

    1. Participation in the course sessions.

    2. Coffee breaks provided after each daily session.

    3. Accompaniment for a city tour to explore the local area.

     

    What’s not included in the fee:

    1. Entrance fees to museums and cultural sites during the city tour.

    2. Some optional cultural activities may require an additional fee.

    3. Accommodation, meals, and transportation are not covered and must be arranged individually by the participants.

  • Cancellation & changes:

    In the event of force majeure—such as natural disasters, pandemics, travel restrictions, or other unforeseen events beyond our control—we will:

    1. Offer participants the option to reschedule for a future course date.

    2. Provide a voucher for the course fee, valid for up to one year, to be used for any of our upcoming courses.
