From the medieval stories to the pristine natural reserves, participants of this course will have the opportunity to visit and explore the history and traditions of some of the most important sites and monuments in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and to engage in a variety of interactive and project-based activities. Our best teacher trainers will take the participants on an experiential learning adventure through magnificent Dubrovnik’s Old Town and City Walls, the Cultural History Museum situated in the 14th-century Rector’s Palace, the Red History Museum, Lokrum Island, Sponza Palace, and other stunning locations. Learning objectives
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the cultural heritage of Dubrovnik and its surroundings.
- Practice traditional arts and crafts of the region.
- Learn new methods and implement ideas for introducing cultural heritage topics into the classroom practice.
- Explore the possibilities of experiential learning and the planning of outdoor lessons.
- Enhance intercultural communication and competencies.
Methodology & assessment
Continuous assessment - continuous observation of participant’s activity
Evaluation criteria:
Preparation, level of engagement in class, listening, questioning and discussing, problem-solving, group/partner teamwork
Evaluation procedures:
The evaluation will take place in the hosting organization and will be conducted
by teacher trainers at the end of the course
Recognition conditions:
At least 80% course attendance

All materials will be provided on-site and will be accessible after the course. Some courses require a phone or laptop, but you will be informed in advance to ensure you come prepared.
