We’ve chosen to draw in monochrome because when we print them , the effect will be more similar to the real coins

We followed our Italian partners' example and after deciding on the 8 symbols to put on the coins, one of my students made the requested drawings. These are Romanian versions of the coins (the drawings):
1. The peony (Romania's national flower) and the Palace of Parliament
2. The Carpathian Mountains with a bear and the traditional Romanian folk costume
3. The Bran Castle and Mihai Eminescu (Romania's national poet)
4. Oina (Romania's traditional sport) and the pan flute (our traditional musical instrument)
