The beginning of the 21st century is characterized by the transition from an information society to a knowledge society. The unprecedented development of science and technology has also required a rethinking of our institutional structures.

In our school, the key word is certainly "perspective", which implicitly invokes the future! But if we understand the demands of reality, we can think of what Paul Valéry said: "today, the future is no longer what it once was". We don't need to gloss over this, but we can understand that we need to prepare differently every year.

Ienăchiță Văcărescu National College is the place where pupils will acquire what was called at the beginning of the century "chosen education", a generous concept adapted to the demands imposed by the reality of recent years.

What do we propose to students? The attempt to reconstruct a personal path in the most rational way possible, avoiding precisely the suspension points, the crossroads, the dilemmas and the apparent errors or slippages in the logic of an identity in formation, still unsure of the project or in full swing.

The central/essential values of the school become dignity, professionalism, renewal, creativity and reinterpretation.
