Insights from the workshop for staff working in initial vocational education and training: ‘Empowering the well-being of learners and teachers in initial vocational education and training’

The online workshop for staff working in initial vocational education and training (IVET) took place from 1 to 3 March 2024. It focused on understanding the pivotal role of well-being in education, to lay the groundwork for tackling significant issues highlighted by the PISA 2022 results.

Play, dialogue and creativity for the acquisition of basic skills

The results of the PISA 2022 survey are a cause for concern and reveal a need to re-focus on foundational skills in an increasingly complex information and learning context. Making these subjects enjoyable from the earliest stages can keep pupils engaged.

Intercultural mentoring for schools

Digital distractions and digital enrichment: integrating new technologies in the right way

PISA is a triennial global assessment that measures 15-year-olds’ ability to use their reading, mathematics and science knowledge and skills to meet real-life challenges. In its analysis of key contextual factors, it also explores the use of digital resources for learning at school, and analyses how these are related to student outcomes.
