Featured Group on the eTwinning theme of the year 2022 ‘Our future, beautiful, sustainable, together: Schools and the New European Bauhaus’
After the netiquette and ice-breaking activities, the group’s objective to offer inspiration and support was fulfilled by inviting eTwinners to participate in partner-finding fairs, get in the spotlight and present their project ideas, and take part in interactive webinars and challenging activities. For example co-working on project application drafts with newly-found partners from Albania and from Jordan (Forum thread: together we make the difference) or reflecting and acting upon the sustainability issues of their schools (legacy forum activity).
To inspire and motivate the group members, practical content that can easily be adapted and used in class has been collected, developed, and arranged into four categories (learning, teaching, news, and activities) in mini modules on the group space. This gave eTwinners a user-friendly and visually appealing experience.
Along with content, the group focused on interactive activities and events that motivate teachers to delve into the annual subthemes of sustainability, inclusion, aesthetics, and technology, be creative with students and/or peers, present ideas, interact with each other, and design eTwinning projects.
Let’s remember some of them:
eTwinning Day Dream School gallery as part of the eTwinning Spring Campaign 2022 in May.
Partner Finding Fairs: Matchmaking (4 October) , ‘Share, compare and join’ (17 October).
Interactive webinars (click on the titles to watch the recordings): STEM through blended learning spaces (7 October) and Sustainable learning spaces and schoolyards as ‘cool islands’ (12 October) during the eTwinning Weeks 2022 campaign.
Three inspirational webinars on learning spaces hosting five experts and two eTwinning featured group moderators.
Sustainable learning spaces: from theory to practice on 16 June, Collaborative virtual spaces on 17 June, and Co-designing: Considering students’ voices for inclusive blended learning environments on 16 November.
Despite technical issues, the group managed to keep members in the loop with new activities, professional development opportunities, resources, and events through private messages and regular posts on social media. Announcements could be found on the Facebook group and Twitter account before and after online events and in-group activities.
We would like to thank all the eTwinners who have contributed to the group activities and events by submitting their ideas, asking questions, commenting on each other’s work, and designing activities in the forums or during the webinars.
Thank you for connecting! Thank you for inspiring us!
