The course is suitable for anyone interested. You don’t need additional experience and qualifications.
Description
The first years in a real learning environment are a difficult period for children. Children in preschool, first and second grade face many new challenges that they have to cope with in order to adapt to the environment. On the one hand, children have to adapt to the learning process itself, and on the other - to an unfamiliar environment. First Steps in First Grade is our new program, through which we want to help teachers in preschool and first grade to facilitate smoothly the transition process to school for their students and in this way to support children to pass easily and with minimal problems through the new challenges they will encounter (or is already encountering) in the primary school stage. Within the program, through informal and playful methods, we will work with the children to help them get to know themselves, feel confident and be prepared for the new challenges they will encounter when they start school.
Learning objectives
The main goal of the training is to empower preschool and primary school teachers with knowledge and skills needed to support the overall development of the children and make them feel accepted, relaxed and adapt smoothly to the new surroundings at school environment. This will help them cope with the new situations and challenges they will encounter later in their school life.
