Description

This course is for teachers who have an A2-B1 level of English and want to develop their communication skills (especially their oral fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation). Participants will improve their use of English as a means of communication in class and in everyday situations. Spain and Madrid will provide a motivating learning context, while the program will offer a combination of English-focused activities, communicative workshops, and project-based assignments. All this will help teachers to raise the level of their English skills in order to participate in future courses and / or school associations in Europe.

Learning objectives

To help participants improve their language skills, especially oral fluency, and enable them to incorporate English into classroom situations and daily life. To promote a European dimension in education to raise awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries.

Methodology & assessment

A communicative approach to language learning enhanced by using real contexts, which in this case is the city of Dublin, will help participants to develop their communicative skills in a very natural way. Participants will be invited to open their senses to the sights, smells and sounds of their surroundings. Through group activities and field projects participants are encouraged to interact with each other and develop their communication skills in English.

Certification details

Certification of learning outcomes in connection with the “Quality standards for courses under Erasmus+ KA1”: Europass and Certificate of Attendance which include the name of the participant, description of the course and its learning outcomes, dates, venues, the name of the host organisation and course director.
