This course aims to help participants to gain basic knowledge and skills at taking photos, to use photos and visuals in regular and field classes, to create visuals with the use of AI and to create their own pieces of visual art to summarize an idea on the topic of cultural heritage landmark/site.

Description

Photography and visual media are powerful tools for teaching, learning, and developing media literacy and creativity. This course helps teachers use photography and visuals to enhance critical thinking, artistic appreciation, and student engagement across subjects. Participants gain basic photography skills and learn how to integrate images into classroom and field-based learning, creating visual projects inspired by cultural heritage sites. They learn how to create well-prompt AI visuals.

Guided by experienced mentors, participants develop teamwork skills, explore the structure of effective field classes, and apply formative assessment in individual and collaborative work. By the end, teachers gain practical methods to use visual art as a meaningful learning tool that motivates students and enriches educational experiences.

Learning objectives

Participants will be guided and tutored to: 

 

  • determine the meaning and impact of photography and visuals
  • create well-prompt visuals with the use of AI
  • take photography according to professional rules and instructions
  • use a photo in regular and field classes
  • use suggestions of creating a cross-curricular field class
  • create a photo story
  • use digital technology in field classes to solve the puzzles and to make a photo story
  • implement the topic of cultural heritage to create interesting and collaborative tasks
  • create formative assessment for different working approaches
  • assess own and other participant's work

 

Methodology & assessment

Participants will be precisely guided how to take photography according to professional rules and instructions, create visuals with the use of AI and create a photo story. They will implement cultural heritage in creating own teaching content. They will acquire the self-assessment process and its components, including the analysis of the strong and weak points. All types of working approaches are included: individual, pair and group, and a field class with the additional value of the meaningful cultural heritage implementation that is required to accomplish cross-curricular expectations.
Hands-on experience and educators' experiential suggestions are valuable learning strategies in the course.

Certification details

Certification is on the final day of the course. We provide Certificate of Attendance and Europass Mobility, if requested. It is required minimum 2/3 of the participant's attendance to gain the certificates. 

Our certificates fully comply with Erasmus+ Quality Standards and include a concise course description with defined learning outcomes, the dates and venue of the training, as well as the name of the course provider and the course instructor(s).

    EUR 480
  • Course package content:

    The course fee includes: course program, course materials, refreshments breaks, organizational requirements of cultural activities (one field class), administration and certification fee. Accommodation and meals are not included and are self-organized by participants.

  • Cancellation & changes:

    Cancellation is to at least 40 days before the course starts. The 2/3 of the paid course fee will be refunded. The rest will be charged by Lina Edu due to administration cost. In case of on-time cancellation and force majeure possible options are available to reconsider. You can be replaced by your colleague if it suits your project and traveling plan and expenses. You can rearrange your training plan and attend other Lina Edu course during a calendar year starting from the date of cancellation.

    The options and conditions for change and cancellation, and the policy in case of unforeseen circumstances (force majeure).
