Residential CLIL 2 course in Ireland, provided by respected provider, Cumbria CLIL, with over 20 years' experience training teachers in CLIL. The course is designed, organised and delivered by schoolteachers with many years of practical experience, who use the techniques with their own classes in school.

Learning objectives
Participants will:
revise the key principles behind CLIL teaching;
experience at first hand many active learning strategies and techniques and apply them to their own subjects and contexts;
have the opportunity to improve their fluency in English and increase their confidence in using English in the classroom;
look at ways of encouraging pupils to use English in the classroom;
learn how to plan for language;
learn how to make effective use of language support;
work on projects (planning, development of materials, etc.) of their choice;
have a truly “Irish” experience with emphasis on speaking English all the time and enhancing their own intercultural awareness.
Methodology & assessment
They will apply their learning to a practical planning and teaching outcome at the end of the course, and receive support and written feedback on this.
They will also receive daily feedback on their use of English.

Participants will be provided with physical and digital materials.

5 nights' single-occupancy accommodation in a family-run hotel, with breakfast
Course organisation and planning
