Online Professional Development Workshop for ECEC: Creative and Innovative Childhood Education and Care

This year, the Online Professional Development Workshop ‘Creative and Innovative Early Childhood Education and Care’ will take place from 29 to 31 March. Participants will learn about how eTwinning can impact the transition from Early Childhood Education and Care to primary education, and gain insight into innovative pedagogies in ECEC.
ECEC Workshop

Early Childhood Education and Care is about much more than preparation for primary school.

It is a crucial step for every child, as it lays the foundation for further growth and development. During the early years of their development, children learn through loving, trusting, and respectful relationships, as well as through discussion, exploration and play. They learn to be creative and adventurous, to develop working theories about the world, and to make decisions about themselves as learners.

In this context, and taking into account the Monitoring Report 2022, this ECEC workshop will focus on:

  • Promoting innovative pedagogical approaches in ECEC
  • Providing ideas for creative activities in the ECEC curriculum
  • Bringing fresh insights into the best practices for teaching and learning
  • Cultivating children’s digital competences through innovative and creative practices
  • Allowing teachers to network and connect with the wider early childhood community

The keynotes will explore the impact of eTwinning on ECEC, current innovative pedagogical trends, and how technology can be used as a support to enhance creativity in early years. Participants will engage in interactive sessions and huddles for reflection.
