As part of the World Autism Awareness Day celebrations, numerous initiatives are implemented to deal with discrimination against people with the autism spectrum and their families. People with the autism spectrum are among the groups most exposed to discrimination, violence and exclusion. People with autism have problems with speaking, perceiving the world, and understanding social relations. They perceive sensory impressions differently. It is even difficult for us to imagine that the salt is sour, the snow burns, and that gentle stroking causes severe pain. This is what the world of an autistic person could look like. It is neither a worse nor better perception of the world; it is simply different and deserves our understanding. Our school has prepared an educational project consisting in the performance of technical and plastic work by students from Grades VI-VII. The work will be done in the shades of blue reflecting the perception of the world by people with autism.
