eTwinning projects are based on important core principles that guide collaboration and quality in education:

1. Collaboration 
   All partners work together equally and share responsibilities.
2. Pedagogical value 
   Projects support learning goals and are connected to the school curriculum.
3. Student-centered approach 
   Students are active participants — they create, explore, and take part in all activities.
4. Online safety 
   Students’ personal data is protected, and safe internet use is promoted.
5. Purposeful use of digital tools 
   Technology is used effectively and appropriately for learning.
6. Intercultural communication 
   Respectful exchange between different cultures and support for language learning.

7. Inclusion and equality 
   Every student should have the chance to participate and feel included.

   Protect personal data
   Never share full names, addresses, phone numbers, or passwords.

   Use avatars, not real photos
   For safety, students should use avatars or group/class photos.

   Respect copyright
   Use only images, music, and content that are free to use or properly credited.

   Be respectful online
   Use kind language and respect others’ work and opinions.

   Safe communication
   Communicate only within trusted platforms like TwinSpace or school tools.

   Teacher supervision
   All activities should be guided and monitored by teachers.
