Holiday wishes
AIM: In this task, similar to creating Christmas e-cards, students will practise using Canva: creating postcards or cards. They practise English language by writing and exchanging holiday wishes, using rather formal style of writing. They can cooperate in groups. They will develop language awareness. They can post their cards on a shared Padlet board, or teachers can help them to post it.
ACTIVITIES: Students create holiday cards with wishes. They can use Canva to create a card, or they can draw it on paper. Students should be divided: one group can make Easter cards, the other can make Ramadan cards.
They have to write wishes.
Dear Students and Teachers,
In April, we are going to make e-cards or cards with holiday wishes.
It's Easter time for students from Greece, Hungary and Poland and Ramadan time for students in Turkey. That's why we will create cards for both holidays. Then we will post them on our shared Padlet.

RESULTS
Thanks to this task students learned about the other country's culture: we talked about Easter and Ramadan during our classes. They practised using Canva: using different tools to make the card more attractive. They practised English language and cooperated in groups. They developed language awareness.
Here is our shared Padlet board.
Hi Dear Partners, you can upload your students' Easter and Ramadan cards here:
