Hello, we are Lydia, Arturo and Adrián.

These are our two ideas for "sustainable" construcion".

1) Dry wall with recycled paper.

Drywall is a flat panel consisting of plaster sandwiched in between two sheets of thick paper. It usually has dimensions of 2.50m x 1.20m. These panels are used for doing partitions in the interior of the houses. Also, they can be used for acoustic isolation.

We propose to change that paper for recycled paper.

2) Rain water collectors.

In construction, water is used, for exemple, for doing mixes (like concrete, which is made of sand + water + cement), or washing tools after the work is done. That supposes a big consume of water.

This idea could be useful in places when it rains a lot. It consists in putting collectors in the work site, so when it rains, the water can be stored and used. This collectors would be made of plastic, but recycled plastic.

- How can our ideas support the 17 goals?

Our ideas are related to goal 11 "Sustainable cities and communities" and 15 "Life on land".

The first idea (dry wall with recycled paper) is related to this goals because using the recycled paper helps to avoid deforestation, and we all know deforestation is a big problem for the ecosystem.

The second idea (rain water collectors) is also related to the goals and is sustainable, because instead of waste that water, we give it the opportunity of being useful in the construction jobs.

Hello ! We are Wandrille and Eliott !

We think that your 2nd idea is better than the first one because construction is something that we'll always need so the rain water collector is a good idea !
