FROM THE SPARK TO THE LIVING ROOM

This educational project brings together two schools in Finland and Spain with a common goal: to research and reflect on the role of renewable energy in our daily lives and communities. Through a collaborative approach, students will explore where the energy we use every day comes from and what sustainable alternatives can be applied in their immediate environment. To this end, various practical and participatory activities will be developed. These include the joint creation of posters that gather the information obtained and raise awareness about the importance of responsible and sustainable consumption. In addition, a questionnaire will be created in Google Forms and distributed throughout the school and local community. These surveys aim to find out people's opinions on what type of energy they prefer for their environment and their level of knowledge about the origin of the energy they consume. The project also encourages the use of Internet search strategies, so that students learn to locate, select, and compare quality information. All of this is part of a democratic and participatory process, where the voice of citizens is valued and taken into account as a fundamental part of decision-making about the future of energy.
