There are too many leftovers at home which can be used for different purposes at school. Our consumer society is used to throwing everthing just out. The schools usually have a lack of materials for creative works. Elder students can be involved in helping younger ones in creating something for a special purpose by using the materials for a second time. The students explain the instructions in English thus using the English language outside the classroom. They can be active citizens this way.
