Tree donation - Hotel Wiedemann / IGS Mainspitze
Hotel Wiedemann generously donated several robinia trees to our school, giving us the opportunity to further develop a climate-resilient campus. These robust trees are well suited for the increasingly hot and dry summers that Germany has been experiencing in recent years. The impact of climate change is clearly noticeable on our school grounds, so adapting our choice of plants is essential to protect and preserve our green spaces for the future.
Watering Ring - IGS Mainspitze Germany
The newly planted trees require watering rings to ensure that precious water does not simply run off during dry periods. These rings help the soil absorb moisture slowly and effectively. Our dedicated crew also applies fertilizer and soil improvers to give the young trees the best possible start. With careful maintenance and thoughtful planting, we are creating a healthier and more resilient school landscape.
Waterbags Good Bye / IGS Mainspitze Germany
During the summer, our young trees rely on special water bags that slowly release moisture into the soil, helping them survive long periods of heat and drought. These bags support deep root growth and reduce water waste. In winter, however, they must be removed to prevent damage from frost and moisture buildup. By adjusting our care throughout the year, we ensure the trees remain healthy and well protected.
