Using the principles of project based learning (PBL), this eTwinning project aims primarily to improve English language skills through exploring cultural heritage and drama. The learners will focus on a particular person or figure inititially conducting research and then producing a short dramatisation depicting a story or event about the figure in question. The cultural figures explored are as follows:

• Goddess Athena

Apart from English language learning, the project also intends to add to the students’ knowledge of their home country and their European cultural and historical heritage and also to learn about elements of other countries and cultures through collaborating with partner schools. 

Through the collaboration, the students will interact with each other thus forming intercultural peer relationships and promoting a sense of multiculturalism and European identity.

Activities:

• Online "meeting" the students through introduction pages
• Online presentation of the figures explored
• Virtual meeting with the partner schools through a video call
• Collaborative activity: '21st Century Goddesses'
• Presentation of dramatisations
• Final closing virtual meeting and farewell activity
