Short description

Students will create a mascot for the school, which will be then exchanged with our partners. We will create videos, pictures or presentations about the routine of our mascot visiting the new school, the places around the new town, the local food, etc., after exchanging information and asking questions about each other's schools and countries, the mascot will return to the original school.

Aims

Students will be able to understand and express routines and descriptions (places, weather, food...).
They will improve their vocabulary on topics related to school (timetables, rooms around the school...) and culture of different countries (food, places around).
They will practice speaking, listening, reading and writing at an A2 level.

Work process

September: Finding partners and planning project, introducing project to students, create page where project information and materials will be uploaded
October-December: creating mascot, organising which mascot will be sent where (among all the project participants), we could include messages for the recipients...

Beginning of December: sending mascots.
January-March: creating audiovisual material about the mascot in the new school, routines, information about town, etc
April: videoconference/video recording/oral messages recorded, sending and answering questions about all the information from the previous months, rounding it up
May: sending mascots back to original schools, reception, exchange of impressions.

Each partner will work with their class group as a whole and will be assigned another school from the participants in the project. We will all be responsible for our part in the project. Materials will be uploaded to the TwinSpace.

We will exchange emails and create a Whatsapp group to communicate among members, check on the progress of the different stages, make suggestions, come to agreements, etc.

Pupils will take an active part in the design and making of the mascot, as well as in the preparation of all materials. All this will be part of their regular classes at school and will serve as practice of different aspects of the curriculum.

Expected results

The results include videos, presentations, pictures… that will be uploaded to the TwinSpace. We will create pictures, text, short presentations, recordings, videos of all the mascots. The mascots will also be part of the different schools, visible along the duration of the project.
