Oh my Bat is a project that intends to increase students’ interest and knowledge about bats. Beyond the misinformation and fear, scientific knowledge can provide an insight on the local species and their benefits to our society and ecosystems. Moreover, a multidisciplinary approach will promote a cooperative environment between Natural Sciences and Technology departments, with the goal of building and installing wooden bat boxes on our schools. Alternatively, the bat species living around schools can be detected and identified with different software and microphonic gear.
