European Innovative Teaching Award

In the ever-changing world of education, the European Innovative Teaching Award aims to value the work of teachers and educators in the process of shaping the Europeans of tomorrow by making use of innovative, interactive, and inclusive teaching and learning practices. (The European Innovative Teaching Award)

In Riveria's award-winning "Multidisciplinary Sustainable Development in VET" project, vocational education and training students increased their sustainability skills by working in workshops and visiting companies that presented their own sustainable development practices to the students.

"The project combined different learning methods and classroom teaching with practical work in real situations," says Ara Hayrabedian, Riveria's International Coordinator. "Cooperation with many different stakeholders, such as companies, increased the participants' commitment to the work and developed their ability to cooperate. Inclusion was also strongly visible in the project, as the student groups also included students in need of special support.
