MOVE ON FOR DIVERSITY

In recent years in our school it has become clear that we urgently need to expand methodologies to address the diversity and integration of an increasingly multicultural student body. The migrant population of our town is growing and from our teaching practice we perceive signs of social segregation in teenage behaviors and also in methodologies that do not take into account family, emotional and motivational backgrounds of our students. Therefore, we see the need to train our teachers to welcome and accompany not only students who face the challenges of adapting to a new community often full of prejudices, but also to understand and transform the vision of local students who welcome their peers influenced by lack of knowledge or fear of difference. The internationalization of our school through community projects via Erasmus+ KA1 or eTwinning with other European institutions with similar concerns and needs, can bring new ideas, approaches and also motivations to our teachers.
