We all want a cleaner environment, less polluted air, or maybe just a lifestyle that is both environmentally and financially sustainable, but we don't know where to start. Children have emotions and desires that are hard to control when it comes to shopping. They want it now, on the spot, make spontaneous decisions when spending money on something that makes them happy - toys, sweets, games, not necessities at all. Financial education is what prepares children for a future free of money worries. It is not about get-rich-quick techniques or just about investments and loans. Financial education, at European level, helps children understand the mechanisms behind financial systems in order to learn how to work with them and not against them. Unfortunately, the school curriculum does not touch on the topic of MONEY, and children do not perceive its true value. The "Financial education for children" project aims to form healthy financial skills. In the interactive form of teaching through games, children will learn new concepts about money, budgeting, spending and saving. This project aims to develop in students the possibility to train their basic skills to facilitate their adaptation in the 21st century, adopting STEAM education that addresses the five interdisciplinary and applied disciplines. Also, to develop knowledge, skills and abilities to think strategically, in the present, but also in the future, regarding everyone's budget, to discover ways of just saving money, then to develop, even, entrepreneurship skills, in terms of finances. All this, in a combination of theoretical, practical-action study strategies, but especially playful, considering the ages of the participating students. The main objective is to provide children with a different learning experience that encourages critical thinking, creativity, organizational skills, problem solving skills and teamwork.
