META-MAT

Education is a dynamic system. In order to adapt to the constantly developing and changing world, it is necessary to raise the qualifications of the educational elements. According to the analyzes made on the 2003-2009 PISA results, it has been shown that the effectiveness of information and communication technologies should be increased in order to increase the success level of education in Turkey [1]. For this purpose, the Ministry of National Education started the FATIH project in 2010 and provided the infrastructure for technology integration in education with smart boards placed in classrooms [2]. In addition, in-service trainings are organized to increase the skills of teachers in using information and communication technologies and to improve their technopedagogical level. Despite these studies, the use of technology in education is still not at the desired level [3]. The use of educational technologies and their inclusion in the course content are very important for permanent learning and concretization of abstract concepts. The discipline of mathematics is a course in which abstract concepts are redundant and need to be developed in terms of digital content. Students who grow up in the age of technology need to learn this discipline with technology support, modeling with innovative applications, and thus internalize the subject. With the project we developed in this context, the 'Realistic Mathematics Teaching Approach', which was introduced in 1994, will be revised with innovative applications and digital content dominated by web3 technology will be created. Five main topics will be discussed in the project. These; 1) Discovery: Digital content that indicates the place of the subject in daily life and enables the individual to discover the subject. 2) Didactic Phenomenology: Detailed learning of the subject and achievements of the subject. In this area, mathematics subjects and achievements will be placed in the metaverse area and flexible learning will be realized by providing students' access to these areas. 3) Modeling: A steam learning scenario will be prepared on the subject discussed and a steam study will be done in which the students are at the center. 4) PISA-TIMS: By solving Pisa-Tims questions on the determined subject and achievement, students will be given a perspective on question solution methods. 5) Scale Evaluation: In order to reveal the effect of the studies on the students, measurement and evaluation activities will be carried out in the digital environment. In mathematics education, educational technologies will be used at a high level, which will allow the concretization of abstract concepts and permanent learning of achievements will be supported. • Mathematics achievements in the field of Mataverse will be placed for the first time and the learning experience of the student in this field will be observed. • Thanks to the steam scenarios to be developed within the scope of the project, steam activities for the high school curriculum of mathematics will be carried out in a wide scope. • Multi-dimensional learning will be provided by supporting students' mathematics learning within the scope of digital contents and steam activities. • Affective input characteristics towards mathematics learning will increase positively. Produced digital content, steam scenarios and assessment and evaluation studies will be published as 9, 10, 11 and 12. Grade books, and 4 different books will be obtained, which are completely internet supported, metaverse and steam activities together. Students will take an active role in providing education in metaverse areas and conducting steam activities and will carry out assessment and evaluation studies individually.
