Small Steps, Big Courage
SMALL STEPS, BIG COURAGE
In this part of the project, the focus is on helping children build confidence and express their feelings through the story of Miky, the shy rainbow-colored kitten.
Using “Miky’s Courage Steps,” children practice simple strategies to overcome shyness, such as breathing calmly, greeting others, and sharing their work.
Partner schools collaborate to create a shared video story, where each group presents one step of courage, showing Miky’s gradual progress. An outdoor activity, the “Forest Courage Stage,” gives children the opportunity to take small, brave steps in front of their peers in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Through “Miky’s Artful Thinking,” students reflect on their ideas using the routine “I used to think… Now I think…”, recognizing how their thinking and feelings evolve. At the same time, children work together internationally to design the Courage Certificate, strengthening collaboration, creativity, and connection among schools.
Using a word cloud the partners decide on the 3 elements that should be included in the sixth scene.
