FunctionMania
Introduction
Dear students,
In this activity, you will work in national groups and individually.
Task 1
Functions Around Us
(voluntary)
Functions are all around us. Think and try to find where you meet functions in everyday life. Also try to focus on your field. Make a post on Digipad with information about these functions with a description. Industries:
ECONOMICS/BUSINESS
TRANSPORT/LOGISTICS
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
AGRICULTURE
ECOLOGY/ENVIRONMENT
SERVICES (CATERING/TRAVEL/...)
SCIENCE/EXPERIENCE
You can add more.
Don't forget to add your project name!
DEADLINE: 31st March 2025
Apologies to everyone who posted a function post and is now not on Digipad.
Task 2 Create and Solve a Cryptogram
Objective: Each national group will be assigned a text, which they will encode using the values of various functions. At the same time, each national group will decipher the cryptogram of another group.
You will exchange the encoded texts with each other in this carousel: SVK --> CZE --> ESP --> BIH --> CRO --> TUR --> SVK
(this means that the SVK group will prepare a cryptogram for the CZE group and the SVK group will decipher the cryptogram of the TUR group).
Instructions:
... each group involved will be assigned a quote/text to code.
... assign a numerical value from 1 to 26 to the letters (the same letter has the same number)
... choose any functions that you will publish under your cryptogram
... use your functions to define numbers for individual letters, e.g. we will assign the number 11 to the letter A, we will create a linear function f(𝑥) = 2𝑥 + 3. The function f has the value 11 for x = 4. So instead of a number, we will use the notation f(4).
... see the example and part of solution
... each national team add its cryptogram into the twinboard, each national team add its solution in same twinboard too.
Example:
Solution:
If you can't identify the other letters, you can ask for help in the twinboard, All solution example look at in twinboard too.
Good luck.

Task 3
Hang Out with the Chatbot
In this activity you will be tasked with creating a chatbot in the MIZOU app. Each national team will create a chatbot for a specific type of function. The chatbot will be able to communicate with us about this type of function. It is important to formulate the prompt correctly.
Tutorials are available in the app. There is also another tutorial.
