Each nation has its own folk traditions that are passed down from generation to generation. It is important to try to inculcate these traditions in children to make them realize and appreciate cultural heritage left by our ancestors. We think that learning about cultural traditions of another country will be very interesting and stimulating for children. Pupils will learn one traditional folk song typical for our countries in the original language. We as teachers will prepare musical notes with texts and pronunciation as well as a video record with the song sung by children to help. In all of this we can see an opportunity for children and for adults to learn something new, get to know the folk culture of another country and moreover to give children the opportunity to meet new foreign friends as well as to practise speaking in English.
