What does it mean to leave your country, your home? And how do you feel when you arrive in a completely new place? How to integrate, how to integrate your culture into that of our new country. In our joint project, we want to explore these questions – in a personal, historical, literary and creative way. Behind the words like exile, flight or migration are people, touching stories. The students of our two high schools will collect, tell and create stories about the start and arrival and the integration/assimilation. They will talk to witnesses, read texts, write themselves, take photos or make videos - and work on the topic in a variety of ways. The aim is to create a common (digital) exhibition – with productions that touch, stimulate reflection and open up new perspectives. That change our view of those who have an experience in exile, be it personally or with a loved one.
