Kitaplarla Yeni Ufuklar projesi, okumanın yalnızca kitap sayfalarını çevirmekten ibaret olmadığını, insanı, doğayı ve fikirleri anlamanın temelini oluşturduğunu vurgular. Tıpkı bir fidanın can suyu ile köklenmesi gibi, çocukların da erken yaşta kitaplarla tanışarak kök salmaları ve büyümeleri amaçlanmaktadır. Proje, öğrencilerin eleştirel ve yaratıcı düşünme becerilerini geliştirmelerini ve hayata daha geniş bir bakış açısıyla bakmalarını hedefler. Öğrencilerin okuma alışkanlığını kalıcı bir kültür haline getirmesi için aileler sürecin aktif bir parçası olacak; Türkiye’nin farklı şehirlerinden ve Avrupa’daki ortaklarla yapılacak etkinlikler sayesinde kültürlerarası deneyim ve paylaşım sağlanacaktır. Öğrenciler, kitaplarla yeni ufuklara yol alırken doğayı gözlemleme, insanları ve çevreyi anlama, kendi fikirlerini üretme ve paylaşma fırsatları bulacaklardır. The New Horizons with Books project emphasizes that reading is not just about turning the pages of a book; it forms the foundation of understanding people, nature, and ideas. Just as a sapling takes root with life's water, the goal is for children to take root and grow by being exposed to books at an early age. The project aims to develop students' critical and creative thinking skills and foster a broader perspective on life. Families will be active participants in the process to ensure students develop a lasting reading habit. Intercultural experiences and sharing will be fostered through activities with partners from various cities in Turkey and across Europe. As students journey to new horizons through books, they will have the opportunity to observe nature, understand people and the environment, and generate and share their own ideas.
