Celebrating eTwinning Day - May 9th
On May 9th, we proudly celebrated Twinning Day, a special occasion that brings together students, teachers, and schools across Europe and beyond to honor collaboration, creativity, and unity in education.
To mark this meaningful day, our students designed a unique and colorful poster that reflected the spirit of eTwinning.
Before starting the design process, we held a class discussion to help students understand what eTwinning is, why it matters, and how it connects young minds from different countries through shared projects and goals.
Students explored keywords such as teamwork, respect, communication, diversity, peace, and European identity.
They brainstormed visual symbols and messages that could represent these values. Together, they created a vibrant poster featuring flags, smiling faces, hands joined together, and messages like
"Together for a Better Future", "United in Diversity", and "We Learn, Share, and Grow". Their design was filled with creativity, color, and positive energy.
During the celebration, we talked about the importance of international cooperation in education. We watched short videos about successful eTwinning projects and looked at how students from different countries work together on topics like science, art, languages, and environmental protection.
This inspired our class and helped them feel like part of a bigger global learning community.
To complete the day, we proudly displayed the poster in our school hallway, where other students and teachers could see it.
We also took group photos with the poster and shared them through our school's digital platforms, sending our message of unity and hope to a wider audience.
Celebrating Twinning Day helped our students feel empowered, inspired, and connected. It reminded us all that learning goes beyond borders-and when we work together, we can make a difference in the world.
