In today's world, English is taught as a foreign language in our country because it is a common language in many fields and the language of international communication. Learners are expected to have mastered the structure, pronunciation, and vocabulary of the target language, English. In line with these expectations, vocabulary plays a significant role in foreign language teaching. Although there has been a slight shift away from traditional rote memorization methods in increasing vocabulary today, these efforts are unfortunately insufficient, and therefore, methods should be developed according to age and level groups. Active student participation in the learning process is crucial for vocabulary acquisition. Based on these facts, we developed this project to make vocabulary learning more permanent by actively involving students. In our project, students will create snapword designs individually or in groups according to their age and level, and these designs will be displayed on school bulletin boards for a period of time. The aim is to attract the attention of all students with these snapword designs displayed for a certain period and to ensure that the words they learn are remembered for a longer time. It is planned that the designs will later be compiled into a dictionary, displayed again, and actively used in lessons. Our goals in this project are to encourage active student learning, develop creative thinking skills, gain teamwork skills when necessary, and make learning fun and lasting.
