Aligning the English Language Curriculum with the eTwinning Programme “Healthy Life”
The English language curriculum can effectively align with the eTwinning project “Healthy Life” by integrating language learning with meaningful, real-life topics that promote students’ well-being. This interdisciplinary approach not only enhances linguistic competence but also fosters awareness of healthy lifestyle choices.
Firstly, the development of reading and listening skills can be supported through authentic materials related to health, such as articles, videos, and infographics about nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being. Students can engage with these resources to improve comprehension while gaining valuable knowledge about healthy habits.
Secondly, speaking and writing skills can be strengthened through collaborative activities with partner schools. Learners may participate in discussions, presentations, and online meetings where they exchange ideas about healthy routines, traditional diets, and daily habits in different countries. Writing tasks such as emails, blog posts, or project reports further reinforce their ability to communicate effectively in English.
What is more, the project encourages the use of digital tools, which aligns with modern language teaching practices. Students can create multimedia content—such as posters, videos, or digital journals—promoting healthy lifestyles, thereby developing both their language and digital competencies.
In addition, the “Healthy Life” theme supports the cultivation of 21st-century skills, including collaboration, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. By working with peers from different countries, students broaden their perspectives and learn to respect diverse approaches to health and well-being.
On the whole, integrating the English curriculum with the eTwinning “Healthy Life” programme creates a dynamic and engaging learning environment. It connects language learning with students’ everyday lives, making the process more relevant, interactive, and impactful.

Aligning the 4th Grade Greek Curriculum with the eTwinning Programme “Healthy Life”
The 4th grade Greek curriculum can be effectively aligned with the eTwinning project “Healthy Life” by connecting language learning with everyday experiences and promoting students’ awareness of healthy habits. This cross-curricular approach enhances both linguistic development and students’ understanding of well-being.
Within the Greek language lessons, students develop reading and comprehension skills through texts related to nutrition, physical activity, and personal hygiene.
