Here's the story that we wrote together :

The victim is an Italian diplomat (Mr Roberto Muller) who traveled around the world and got married to a French woman. After a long period of time with her he received the proposal for his dream job: being the Italian ambassador in Turkey. He was found dead in his office and he was murdered because lots of people were jealous of his success and of his beautiful life.

Since he was an important diplomat three detectives are summoned to investigate: one is from Turkey (Detective Göktürk), one from France (Detective Dupont) and one from Italy (Detective Conti).

The body was found by the assistant of the man, an Italian friend of his since childhood.

The suspects are his wife, Daphné, abandoned by the man when he received the job proposal, his Italian assistant, Tommaso Ricci, who would have taken the role of ambassador with the death of the victim, and the brother's victim (Giorgio) who wanted a bigger part of their family inheritance.

Inside the bustling police station, a lot of people came and went from everywhere. We could hear telephone ring tones ringing incessantly and tons of policemen’s voices discussing various businesses. Amidst the chaos, a thirty-year old woman was finding her way. She was dressed up with a black turtleneck and beige high-waisted pants. Her hair was long enough to be around her shoulders’s area but short enough to make her appear as a mighty woman. It was tied up in a low ponytail with several rebellious locks inside out that added something to her polished and clean look. Her warm chocolate Birkin bag confirmed her classy and rich appearance.

As she was walking in the room, we could hear the sound of her heels hitting energetically the ground. Once she reached the reception desk, an elderly man requested her ID. Printed on the document was the name of this woman : Daphné Muller. She was the victim’s wife.

‘ Miss Muller we are going to begin the questioning’, stated one of the detectives.

‘ No, we are not , I’m waiting for my lawyer’ Daphné answered coldly.

After 2 never-ending hours, her lawyer eventually arrived.

 The Turkish detective started:

‘ Mrs Muller you are the wife of the victim, right ?’

‘ She doesn’t want to answer’ her lawyer interjected swiftly.

‘ I’m not his wife anymore . This idiot preferred to divorce and pursue his' ‘dream job’ ‘ she replied haughtily which irritated the detective.

‘ Where were you when your husband was found dead?’.  sighed the annoyed policeman.

‘ I was on a business trip in Italy.’

‘ Since when? ’

‘ Do you really need all these details? Seriously I was in Italy not in Turkey so how could I have killed him ? ‘. she retorted, ‘ Well, I think the interrogation is finished , I’ve got nothing else to say ‘

She stood up to leave but was stopped by one of the other detectives.

‘ You will have to stay here for a moment’ He said, smiling fakely.

Meanwhile, as the investigation progressed, attention turned to Tommaso Ricci, the victim's Italian assistant. It was revealed that he had been absent from the office at the time of the murder, out on the streets grabbing takeaway food, unaware of the tragedy unfolding in his workplace. With each new revelation, the web of suspicion tightened around the individuals involved, and the truth seemed tantalizingly close yet frustratingly out of reach.

Back at Daphné's interrogation:

Detective: "Miss Muller, we need to discuss your husband's case. Where were you when he was found dead?"

Daphné: "I was on a business trip in Italy.I’ve already told you"

Detective: "And for how long were you away?"

Daphné: "I left three days ago and just returned this morning."

Detective: "I see. And did you have any communication with your husband during this time?"

Daphné: "No, we hadn't spoken since I left."

Detective: "Interesting. Do you have any suspicions about who might have wanted to harm your husband?"

Daphné: "Actually, I do. I believe it was his brother."

Detective: "His brother? Why do you say that?"

Daphné: "I know him well. He's always been envious of my husband's success and coveted our family's wealth. With his death, he would have everything he desired."

Detective: "That's quite an accusation, Miss Muller. We'll need to verify your alibi and investigate your claims further. Thank you for your cooperation."

After Daphné leaves, the detective turns to his team.

Detective: "We need to check Mrs. Muller's alibi and then head to Italy to question the victim's brother. This could be a significant lead in solving this case."

The Italian detective sat across from the victim's brother in a dimly lit room. Giorgio looked upset, his hands were trembling, it was like he was about to burst into tears at any moment.

“Mr. Rossi, we need to understand what happened. Your brother's death is a tragedy, and we're here to uncover the truth. Can you tell us about your relationship with Roberto?”

"Roberto and I were brothers, but it was always tough being in his shadow," Giorgio said, visibly upset "He had everything – a job, a beautiful wife, a perfect life in Paris. I never understood the reason why he gave up all this. Meanwhile, I felt like I was struggling to find my own way."

The detective listened carefully as Giorgio explained how he had felt jealous of the victim for a long time. Then the French detective started:

"It's understandable to feel that way. Did your jealousy lead you to do something that might have harmed Roberto?”

"I never wanted to hurt him," Giorgio admitted "But Daphné... She took advantage of my feelings. She made me believe that getting rid of Roberto was the only way to stop feeling overshadowed."

The officer leaned forward, staying calm and encouraging Giorgio to explain more about Daphné's role.

"Daphné planned everything," Giorgio confessed sadly. "She convinced me that Roberto didn't deserve his good life, and that I deserved better."

The officer reassured Giorgio and asked for more details.

Giorgio took a deep breath, feeling guilty. "I helped her plan it... but I never wanted Roberto to get hurt. Please, I don't want any money anymore. I just want my brother to come back to life.”

And he finally collapsed on the floor sobbing.

Detectives traveled to Italy to the fashion show that Ms Mullers said she attended at the time of Mr Muller's death.  And by finding Ms. Muller's name from the guest list of this fashion show, they determined that she did not attend.

Italian detective: It turned out that you were not in Italy at the time of the incident. Confess where have you been?

Mrs. Muller: …

French Detective: So, what is your relationship with Mr. Muller's brother?

Mrs. Muller: We get along well, we were together at the time of the incident.

Italian detective: What are you doing together?

Mrs. Muller: I've been wanting to talk to my ex-wife for a long time, and that's why I went to ask her brother to get his address.

French detective: Well, if there is any development, we will let you know.  You can go.

(At the same time)

Detective Göktürk was interrogating Mr. Muller's brother.

Detective Göktürk: How was your relationship with your brother?

Mr. Muller's brother: It was normal.

Detective Göktürk: (Detective Göktürk is bluffing by thinking that there is a relationship between Ms. Muller and Mr. Muller's brother) Could the love between you and Ms. Muller have ruined your relationship with your brother?

Mr. Muller's brother: What are you implying? (agitated).

Detective Göktürk: What am I implying?

Mr. Muller's brother: Look, my love for Miss Muller does not mean that I will ever harm my brother.  You see that I am guilty, you are wrong.

Detective Göktürk: Don't be stupid, do you know the penalty for false testimony?  If you admit what you know now, you might have a chance.

Mr. Muller's brother: Well, I don't know everything, I can only say what I hear.  Mrs. Muller and Mr. Muller were going to meet just to talk, but Mrs. Muller went early without me knowing, and while they were talking, an argument broke out between them, and Mrs. Muller pushed Mr. Muller, but the incident took place when my brother fell down because he was under the influence of drugs.  I also wanted to protect the woman I loved.

Detective Göktürk: I'm afraid it's too late for you to leak.

(The police took Mr. Muller's brother away)

As a result of Mr. Muller's brother's confession, Ms. Muller was interrogated again and Mr. Muller's statement was read.  Thus, Ms. Muller pleaded guilty, saying that the statement was true.  So they both went to court and went to jail.
