Isabel, Nacho and I arrived at Munich’s airport at 3pm, and our German families where there to receive us. My “sister” is called Emilie, and I live with her, her brother and her mum in Meiling, which is located next to Seefeld. I spent quite a lot of time with Emilie talking about our routines, hobbies, schools, etc. I was super excited to get to know her friends and CPG!

Today I had my first day at CPG. As the teacher didn't come, I spent the first two classes playing cards with some other classmates. I met a lot of people! It was really exciting getting to know the school and the students.

As a foreign girl in a different country, I decided to cook a really typical Riojan dish: patatas a la riojana o patatas con chorizo. Emilie helped me doing them, and all the family liked the food so much. They even want me to cook again another day! I was so glad they enjoyed them so much.

It has been a year maybe since I saw snow for the last time. That ended today, because I went to one of the five lakes of Bavaria and it was snowing all around the village! It was freezing, so we finally decided to go to a cafe and have a hot chocolate to warm ourselves up while talking.

Afer a whole week of classes, is time to visit places and relax. This afternoon I went to visit the Andechs Monastery. The weather was great, so we could have a walk around the village and go to the lake of Weßling to see the sunset. It has been such a long time since I saw such a gorgeous chapel!

Munich is such a beautiful (and enormous) city! I spent the day there going to bookstores, cafes and more with Emilie and her friends. I had so much fun! There's too much to see, and you can always find something interesting to discover. In this case, Emilie's friends told me if I wanted to go to a shop that sells useless objects. It was kind of fun! The hour that we spent on the train to travel to the city was totally worth it.

The Alps are one of the most famous attractions to tourists, and I'm not surprised, because they are amazing! This morning, the lake next to Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany, was completely freezed, so we could walk on it and even skate! There was a 2 hour trip to get there, but once there, the good weather and the pretty views made made me think that that really didn't matter.

I'm sure you know the famous castle of Disney Animations. But did you know that Walt Disney inspired it on Neuschwanstein Castle? 200 years ago, it was one of the residences of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, during the last decades of the 19th Century. The inside of it is home for lots of wall paintings, gold lamps and more! I found it gorgeous. We went there the 5 students of Logroño plus the ones that came from Cartagena, Murcia, and we had a lovely time.

Even though the weather wasn't really good in the morning, that didn't stop us to travel to the other side of Munich and visit the Olympiapark (from the 1972 Olympic Games) and the BMW Museum. We wathed the evolution of the BMW vehicles during the XX Century. But, in my opinion, the greatest time was when the teachers let me and the rest of the students from Logroño have total liberty to go wherever we wanted. It felt so good having that independence.

Today we went on a tour that showed us the most important places of Munich's centre: the Juliet's Statue, the Viktualienmarkt, the main square... As yesterday, mi mates from Logroño and I decided to stay more hours in the city after that tour finished, and had something to eat on the food stalls, we visited a church and went shopping. It was such a fun time!

Today we celebrated Chris's birthday (Emilie's mother's boyfriend) and we had a very German breakfast, and I couldn't help eating a pretzel. I have to admit that they have become such an addiction...
In the afternoon, some friends came and we played some traditional birthday games that are common in German birthdays. I couldn't laugh more!
