Created by Maite Laburu
Last updated by Maite Laburu 1 year 3 months ago

To close our Erasmus+ project with a strong cultural and linguistic message, students from Laudio BHI carried out a research-based activity focused on the current efforts being made to promote Euskara, the Basque language, across the Basque Country.

🔍 Research with Purpose

Working in small groups, students investigated real-life initiatives and organisations that are actively contributing to the promotion and normalization of Euskara in different fields such as: Education, Media, Youth culture, Public administration, Local businesses.

The activity helped students understand that language preservation is a collective effort, and that many different sectors of society can take part in revitalizing a minority language.

🧾 From Information to Action

After gathering relevant information, each group designed a digital poster that visually summarized the initiative they studied. These posters were:

-Displayed in different areas of the school to raise awareness

-Discussed and reflected upon in the classroom

-Published on our project website to share with our international partners

This task also promoted:

   -Research skills

   -Visual communication

-Social engagement with the local linguistic community

These posters highlight the richness and vitality of current Basque language initiatives — a perfect way to conclude our journey by celebrating the efforts to keep our language alive.
