CURRICULUM INTEGRATION

In the eTwinning project Don't Delay, Sing Today, I collaborated with prep class students and integrated the project into their curriculum. Below are the objectives of our curriculum that align with the aims of the project.

E.Prep.1.S.1 Students will be able to introduce themselves, their family members and friends.

E.Prep.3.S.5 Students will be able to talk about likes, dislikes and interests.

E.Prep.3.S.2 Students will be able to practice a conversation about making invitations.

E.Prep.4.P.1 Students will be able to recognize word stress of can. Students will be able to pronounce /s/, /zJ, /iz/; the final sound of the -s.

E.Prep.5.P.1 Students will be able to pronounce “the" in simple sentences.

E.Prep.8.S.3 Students will be able to respond to simple questions about the topic while talking.

E.Prep.9.P.1 Students will be able to practise the sounds /o/ and /u:/.

E.Prep.10.S.1 Students will be able to agree or disagree with others.

E.Prep.11.P.1 Students will be able to practice intonation in asking and answering Wh- questions in daily conversations.

E.Prep.11.P.2 Students will be able to practice /w/ and /v/ sounds (World Wide Web, Wary, Very, Wet, Vet, etc).

E.Prep.11.S.5 Students will be able take part in a conversations in everyday life situations.

E.Prep.12.P.1 Students will be able to practice the sounds /ae/ and /e/.

E.Prep.12.S.5 Students will be able to ask and answer detailed questions.

E.Prep.13.P.1 Students will be able to practice /Ö/ and /0/ sounds

E.Prep.14.S.1 Students will be able to ask about the others’ experiences to exchange ideas.

E.Prep.15.S.1 Students will be able to express themselves in short exchanges using false starts and fillers.

E.Prep.16.S.2 Students will be able to give and receive advice.

E.Prep.16.R.2 Students will be able to read the text for specific information.

E.Prep.16.W.3 Students will be able to apply basic capitalization, spelling and punctuation rules when writing.

E.Prep.18.P.1 Students will be able to practice sounds/a/ and /3:/.

E.Prep.18.S.5 Students will be able to talk about the importance of netiquette and internet security.

E.Prep.18.R.5 Students will be able to find out the importance of netiquette and internet security in a short text.

E.Prep.18.W.1 Students will be able to write formal/ informal emails.

E.Prep.18.W.3 Students will be able to use chat acronyms.

E.Prep.19.P.1 Students will be able to practice word stress.

E.Prep.19.S.5 Students will be able to ask for and give clarification.

E.Prep.20.S.5 Students will be able to ask for and give permission clearly in a dialogue.

E.Prep.20.S.6 Students will be able to ask for favors and respond to demands.

E.Prep.20.R.2 Students will be able to identify related lexis and jargon related to the topic.
