Discover the EU

The aim of the project is to link up schools to motivate pupils to learn about the EU and improve their foreign language skills. The children aged 12-15 will carry out activities in their own school and collaboratively with their partners using different digital resources. English will be the main working language for collaboration between the teachers but activities may be organised in English, French, Spanish, German, and other EU languages where appropriate. The main themes will include: the EU countries, geography and values; the history of the union and its institutions, EU languages and culture and opportunities for young EU nationals. Each partner is free to adapt the in-school activities to their context and curriculum, but will commit to contributing to at least one collaborative output per month. The final production will be a “Discover the EU” digital museum with rooms covering the different themes of the project. Each room will showcase the productions of the partners throughout the project.
