The evaluation from the point of view of the teachers is a feedback mechanism, a precondition for improving the quality of his work. It also enhances self-awareness and support for their professional development as well as the formation of an evaluation culture in the school community.

Pretest Evaluation Report

The pretest phase of the “Artful Minds, Creative Spirits” project involved 18 educators from Greece, Turkey, Spain, and Romania, representing a diverse range of schools and teaching backgrounds..

Most participants have significant teaching experience, with over 70% reporting more than ten years in the profession. 

This expertise, combined with a solid understanding of the project’s goals and Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), sets a strong foundation for successful international collaboration.

Educators showed a high level of digital proficiency and confidence in using online tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, Padlet, and TwinSpace, which are essential for communication and teamwork throughout the project.

Their main motivations for joining include fostering creativity, encouraging cultural exchange, developing innovative teaching methods, enhancing students’ emotional intelligence, and building partnerships with international colleagues.

Participants identified key resources for project success: regular communication, access to user-friendly digital platforms, technological support, continuous teacher guidance, and active parental involvement. They also stressed that motivation and cooperation are critical drivers for effective implementation.

Suggestions for activities aligned well with the project’s focus on art, sustainability, and cultural awareness. These included collaborative artworks, virtual galleries, STEM challenges, traditional crafts, and storytelling. Educators also expressed interest in sharing national artistic traditions, such as Greek folk and street art, Spanish masters Picasso and Dalí, and Turkish miniature and marbling arts, highlighting the project’s potential for meaningful intercultural exchange.

In conclusion, the pretest results confirm the educators’ enthusiasm and readiness to participate actively. Their valuable insights will inform the development of engaging, inclusive, and impactful activities, supporting a rich and collaborative learning experience for all involved.
