Plan Project
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In this project, the participating educational centers with students from the age of sixteen and older will carry out various collaborative activities. The objective is for students to work on various emotions, promoting reflection on their importance in today's society and relating them to European values and the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda. This reflection will not only involve our students, but, as our dissemination will also include families and friends from different parts of Europe.
AIMS
This project pursues different objectives to be achieved in different areas, as it
simultaneously works on European identity, the improvement of linguistic skills in the English language, the development of digital skills through AI and acquiring a better knowledge of one's own emotions. , as well as the promotion of collaborative work between students.
The educational aims are:
1. Objectives related to European identity:
● Share the culture and traditions of different countries.
● Cooperate between different countries using new technologies and the eTwinning platform.
● Achieve the training of students in a context of democracy and freedom.
● Promote European values.
● Instill among participants the spirit of cooperative work.
● Create new links with the educational community of other centers and different countries, improving the educational quality of the centers.
● Train our students in European values and attitudes such as tolerance and
mutual respect.
2. Objectives related to the English language:
● Improve English language skills through this European experience.
● Practice the English language in its oral and written aspects.
● Be aware of the importance of the English language as a communication tool
between people from different parts of the world.
3. Objectives related to digital skills:
● Promote digital skills with the use of ICT.
● Learn about new platforms and digital tools such as AI.
● Collaborate as a team with students and teachers from other centers using technology.
● Introduce students to the eTwinning digital platform.
● Learn how to use new technologies appropriately.
● Be aware of what misuse of technology entails and promote good practices and European values with it.
4. Objectives related to emotions
● Develop emotional intelligence, emotional management and emotional regulation through AI.
● Learn personalized exercises and interactive simulations that teach emotional regulation techniques to students, preventing complicated situations in their future lives.
● Improve the emotional and academic well-being of students using digital tools.
● Promote the development of social skills.
WORK PROCESS
The methodology that is going to be used is called: Project Based Learning (PBL). It is based on cooperation between the different educational centres. Thanks to this methodology we will promote:
1. Collaboration, where the teachers will need maximum collaboration and the
students will also collaborate to carry out each of the planned activities.
2. Communication, as it will be a fundamental key in this project since the teachers must know the project and each of the activities perfectly to collaborate properly. For this, communication is essential. The students will also learn about the projects of the other centres and their protagonists. Something very important to keep in mind is that the communication of this project will be carried out in English, which implies extra effort on the part of the teaching staff.
3. Critical Thinking. At the end of the project, a final evaluation of both your own work and that of other centres is requested.
4. Use of New Technologies as both students and teachers will use new technologies, both in carrying out the project and in its publication and for communication.
PARTICIPATION OF THE STUDENTS
Students are the main characters of this project and it is vital their collaboration with the teachers as well as with other students.
They will be divided into mixed groups so they can meet people from other countries and use English as an effective tool to communicate.
Students will have access to the collaborative platforms so they can join in anytime, use forums to reach agreements, vote, etc.
Moreover, the use of eTwinning meetings scheduled will help to boost participation, making it something more real, because they will get to know the other students.
COMMON PRODUCTS AND RESULTS:
All our activities have the common objective of working on the feelings and the AI, cultural exchange between students and cooperation, since they are tasks to be carried out by everyone and that would not be possible without everyone's participation.
It is expected that both teachers and students have the opportunity to reflect on the need of empathy in today's society and obtain the necessary tools to use the AI correctly, as well as various digital tools with which to create content through the different activities that we have proposed.
Likewise, when the project is carried out using English as the vehicular language, it will be practiced orally, in addition to specifically working on certain grammatical and vocabulary points.
Thanks to these activities and your reflections, we hope to make visible a reality about which much remains to be discovered.
We have related this project to the English language because we expect as a result, not only an improvement in its practice, but also that students verify the usefulness of expressing themselves in this language, verifying for themselves that, effectively, they can know and talk to other people using this language.
Likewise, thanks to learning in projects, we also hope that they value group work, value the opinion of others and learn to cooperate.
