The inclusion of Kosovo in eTwinning opens up a world of international collaboration full of opportunities for its students, teachers and schools. By joining the eTwinning family, Kosovo is not only expanding its own educational horizons but is also contributing to the EU’s aim to create an interconnected and knowledgeable Europe.

The relationship between Kosovo and the European Union has been evolving in recent years, reflecting prosperity and cooperation in the Western Balkans.

The EU regularly emphasises the important role of education in building bridges and breaking down barriers. The exchange of ideas and perspectives through eTwinning plays an important role in this respect by enriching learning experiences and promoting cultural diversity and understanding between students and teachers across Europe and beyond.

eTwinners are encouraged to welcome the teachers of Kosovo and explore the many possibilities for joint projects, cultural exchanges and shared learning experiences with them.

 * This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
