Stadsöskolan is situated 10 km from Luleå in a part called Gammelstad. Stadsöskolan is a primary school from ages 10 to 15, which means there are classes from grade 4 up to 9. Year 7-9 is a lower secondary school. Parts of this school will be rebuilt coming years and become bigger. Right now there are a bit more than 400 students. The school is for ex situated near a swimming hall, a supermarket and a gym and 1 km away there is a Unesco heritage, a so called old churchtown, the old town of Luleå was once here.
