The Maria-Gress-School is a secondary school (grades 5-10, pupils aged 10-16) in a rural area, which leads to the intermediate school leaving certificate.

Our school is located in Iffezheim - a village with beautiful surroundings: Close to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Baden-Baden / Black Forest.

The school building has been renovated and is very well equipped. We also have our own sports hall and a large sports field on the school grounds.

The dedicated staff ensures that “things really happen” at the Maria-Gress-School and the excellent cooperation between all those involved in school life makes this school a place where everyone feels comfortable and part of the community.

The focus on art and culture at Maria-Gress-School is particularly noteworthy:
- The art rooms are very well equipped
- The school offers numerous extracurricular cultural and creative activities for its pupils
- Talented pupils are specifically supported by annual workshops with local artists, followed by a vernissage and public exhibition of the pupils' work.
- Many of our pupils are awarded prizes in art competitions every year

However, what we still miss is a “cultural school-exchange”: Experiencing national culture & the „cultural landscape“ of another region + experiencing that (English as a foreign) language can build bridges to other people could make a significant contribution to education for tolerance and acceptance of diversity!
