About
Who are we?
The Industrial Technical High School was born in 1961, as a branch of the "Corni" High School of Modena.
Fermo Corni was an entrepreneur in the metallurgical sector who lived between 1800 and 1900.
The school became autonomous in 1966, however retaining the same name. It was only in the 70s that the Board of Teachers chose to name the institute for "Enrico Fermi", the great physicist who had been one of the fathers of nuclear fission.
In 1995 the Scientific High School of Applied Sciences was annexed to the Industrial Technical High School.
In 2010/11, after the reform, the school took on the current name of "E.Fermi" High School - Technical Institute of the Technological Sector and Scientific High School of Applied Sciences.
